I run Give a Dog a Home Rescue, and I first met Cindy Gannon when she and her husband adopted a dog I had saved from Oman. They came back the next year for another, and over time Cindy became a friend, a volunteer, and someone who genuinely supports the rescue. When I needed to find a property to start a new business to help support the rescue, I reached out to Cindy. I didn’t know her in her realtor capacity or what her work ethic was like, so I was putting a lot of trust in her based only on who I knew her to be as a person. She did not disappoint. She impressed me and gave me an insight into the realtor world I didn’t know existed. Cindy is incredibly responsive — quick replies, timely follow‑ups, and she never leaves you waiting. She listened to exactly what I wanted, didn’t push, and gave advice only when it was actually helpful. She respected my decisions while still guiding me with her experience, and gently gave me much‑needed reality checks when I started getting carried away, lol. Walking properties with her was eye‑opening. She knows construction, structural issues, and all the little things most people wouldn’t even think to look at. I even asked her how she knew so much, and her answer made it clear how seriously she takes her work and how much effort she puts into being good at it. Something I hadn’t really thought about before was how important it is for a realtor to be confident and skilled at negotiating. Again, Cindy impressed me. It was clear from her experience, her knowledge, and her passion for making sure her clients get the best deal possible. She negotiated a fantastic deal — much better than I expected or even hoped for. And knowing the property needed work, she helped me find reliable contractors for quotes, people she had worked with before and trusted. In Maine, finding reliable businesses is a rarity in itself, so that was a huge help. There are plenty of realtors out there, including family and friends, but buying property is a major investment. You need someone who knows what they’re doing, who can negotiate, and who genuinely cares about the outcome. Cindy is all of that. And yes — she’s an animal lover and a two‑time rescue dog adopter, which just makes her even better in my book. I highly recommend Cindy to anyone looking to buy or sell.

Cindy is one that will go beyond what your normal realtor will do for you. She has gone to visit the property for me and provided a live feed from her phone to help me out. That is outstanding service. I 100% would recommend Cindy to any one that is interested in purchasing property in Maine.

Cindy was extremely patient with me. Over the last 18 months she has shown me many properties, three of which I had put offers on. Through the due diligence period I had to pull all of those offers. I finally settled on this one which has all the features I desired. Cindy was amazing!

It was a long distance relationship, but Cindy kept in touch, always was willing to do a video call to show us properties and found out any info we wanted. She always had a smile and never made you feel like you were bothering her.
